Do you think that a souldering Iron would go through the metal on my case to make a custom side window?

No I very much doubt it. If you want to cut the side window out of your case then I reccoment drilling a hole, sticking a jigsaw through the hole, and cutting around the area you want to remove.

Haha, yeah, if a soldering iron got hot enough to melt your case, the metal on the iron would me melted as well.

unless you have an aluminum case. then yes it would mely your case. dont try to make a square out of it though. it will look VERY sloppy
