Hi Folks, first visit here :)

Right, I have a 160gb Seagate HD split into two equal partitions (came like that with the PC).

What I want to know is, how do i get rid of the two partitions and have just one partition covering the entire drive?

I'm gearing up for another format of my machine as its filling up with crap and any help would be much appreciated.

Or you can wipe the whole thing with the app. found on seagates website, as long as you have a floppy drive

Use the XP setup disc. Boot from it. Follow the instructions on your screen and delete both partitions, then create a new partition.

What you need to do depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Do you want to save the data that exists on the drive right now. If so then Partition Magic is the way to go.

Do you want to wipe the drives and reinstall windows. If so then the Xp install CD is probably your best bet.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I think I'll investigate Partition Magic 8, if only for future use, gonna use the WinXp Disc and do a clean install as my comps got so much crap on it :)

Thanks again for the help.
