Hi, is there a way to make my cpu fan go faster? It won't go above 2100 RPMS and it's max speed is 2300. I think this is monitored by the motherboard because My last HS Fan wouldn't go over 2000 rpms. Is this because of The Cool and Quiet Function? If so how can I disable it have my cpu fan go as fast as possible? Because I am not liking the 50-51C idle.

I use this HSF. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=35-185-110&depa=0

Computer info below.

Go into your bios/motherboard temperature detector and look for a fan setting. There should be an option to just crank it up.

Turning cool and quiet off will still allow the fan to fluctuate (atleast it does on my motherboard).

Also, fans do have a certian percentage of fluctuation of max speed. Maybe you just got the unlucky one.

Cool 'n' Quiet should have the ability to be disabled through the BIOS.

If you wanted faster RPMs, you could simply plug your fan directly into your power supply, rather than going through the motherboard and letting it dictate your fan speed. ;)
