My family just replaced our '97 gateway G6-300!!! with an hp something or other. I had installed a western digital 60 gig hard drive in the gateway, and now i want to remove that and convert it to an external hard drive for my laptop that i use at school. the laptop is a compaq pressario r-3000 with more than sufficient storage, but... well i just want to have more!!! What would be the best way to attempt this transformation? is a case necessary? or could i just slap it in a tupperware containter or something? would i connect it with usb somehow? any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks!
