A n00b question...

I have found an external hard drive that I'm thinking of bying. On it it says: "intel pentium II 350MHz-compatible processor"

My processor is an AMD Athlon XP 2800+, and the speed is 2,08 GHz, however in my specifications it says that the bus speed is 333,33 MHz.

Does this last number mean that the hard drive won't work on my computer?

Thx

I have no clue why it says something about being compatable with a CPU, since it doesnt matter.

As long as you have Firewire or USB 2.0 depending on the drive, it will work.

That processor reference may have been minimum requirements

the front side bus (333.33) is completely different than the PII 350 mhz
the drive says it requires. Your clock speed is 2.08 ghz (effectively 2800 mhz). Makes you think, though, that the fsb of a current processor is as fast the clock speed of an old one.
