Making computer silent

You know a lot of your noise is probably coming from your intel processor fan. I have an intel 3.4ghz with the stock fan and the thing is really loud. The other build I'm working on I have an amd 3000+ and I decided to opt for after-market cooler. I went with the Zalman 7700-cu and I can't hear it at all. The difference between it and my Intel is insane, Intel=loud, zalman=silent. The zalman has a fan controller knob that comes with it. I always run the fan on the lowest setting for now and even with the sides of the case off I can't hear it at all.
When you turn the fan up I can start to hear a little noise if I get close and listen but it's hard to actually hear it lol. With the fan on silent mode I am getting 25C idle and 32C load.

Anyways for your case fan these things work really good.

however if you don't want a temperature sensing fan than this one is good

The zalman has a fan speed controller. Not sure about others, you just have to check I guess.
