If i format my old desktop and put like windows 98 on it even though i have 98 on a nother computer with the same disc, can i Take my xp cd and put it on this new one and just d/l SP2?

All items on your list look good, good luck with your purchase. ;)

You should be able to install Windows on the new computer, and install Windows 98 on any other computer you want. Also, Microsoft should ship out a copy of SP2 on CD free of charge to any (legal) Windows XP owner if you don't feel like downloading it.

gaara, good, so i won't have any hardware problems, do you think my configuration for RAM is good as well as my 3 hard drives, 2 being raptors and the other a 120gb Seagate, and how should I set this all up.

Also, do you think the PSU of 460 watts is enough and should I add a cooling system? Any other advice is welcome...thanks!

PS ... on a 1-10 how do you rate this desktop multimedia configuration I made consider my usage of it and pricing ...

also ... prior to a desktop i was considering an HP ZD8000 w/ these specs for this price including a 2 yr accidental plan coverage what do u think is the better of the two ...

It's a pretty good build, around an 8 maybe?

And the machine you are building yourself is miles and miles better than the HP.

everything looks good, except i wouldn't trust rosewill's ati 800xl, try to get another x800xl that has good reviews (or just plain vanilla ati) on newegg

edit: you'll need at least 1 gig of ram; go for the amount of memory before going for the bandwidth

Isn't rosewell's the ATI hardware with their logo on it or something basically the same exact product??? its 30 bucks cheaper that way...no?
