What happens after you write zero's to your hard with a program made by the hard drive manufacturer and all the data is written over? Does it crash or does it do what?

Thanks
Yan

the computer has to be able to work in order for it to freeze, it will do absolutely nothing and contain nothing like chris said

What will happen though? Will the image on the screen just freeze? Or what??
I'm so curious, the parts are coming in tomorrow!

I am assuming that I will have to force it to shut down.

Thanks in advance

Yan

It won't harm anything Yan. Nothing will happen and then when you are ready turn on the computer and boot from cd.

Darn parts had better be here tomorrow.
They are scheduled for Tuesday, but they are pretty close by now, Latham NY, and they are going to Chatham NY, first they go from Latham to Hudson, where they get on the final truck to me, then its a 30 minute drive (without dumping packages all around) to our house, do you think it will be here tomorrow?????????????

I know it won't hurt anything, LOL, otherwise the HDD manufacturer wouldn't have a program available to download to wipe the HDD.
