Does anyone know what this folder is supposed to be: Program Files/Xerox/nwwia ?

The folders are empty and I can't seem to delete nwwia because it keeps saying it's in use or something...

XEROX is the default Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) device driver included in Windows XP for Xerox scanners. The Xerox WIA driver for Ms WinXP provides users with a method to quickly scan jobs at their Xerox multifunction devices and retrieves the images at their PC desktop. The WIA driver enables scanning without the use of a scan server. the WIA driver automaticallly creates a scan template on the Xerox device that points to a folder on the WinXP workstation.

There are two Xerox WIA drivers exist for scanning to the Xerox multifunction devices:
-- Windows XP WIA Driver for the WorkCentre Pro Scanners
-- Windows XP WIA Driver for Xerox Network Scanners (for the Document Centre)

The setup file of the WIA of Xerox network scanner is at C:\windows\INF, where C is installed WinXP system
XSCAN_XP.INF
XSCAN_XP.PNF

It will run the Xerox Scanner Daemon by copying three files to \windows\system.
xrxwiadr.dll
xrxscnui.dll
xrxwbtmp.dll

and two executables files to \Programs\Xerox\NWWia
XrxFTPLt.exe
xrxflnch.exe

It will add in the registry, especially
HKLM, Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKLM, Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKCU, Software\Xerox\NetworkWIA

Xerox network scanner within the local area network is using the FTP protocol to scan a file to a Windows Workstation.
The scanned document is saved in a folder and can be used to publish to the website.
C:\Program Files\microsoft frontpage\version3.0\bin will be used to store the scanned files temporary.
Normally, the scanned document is saved in My Document of the local user.
The local user will use and logon to the scan template with password and start scanning from the Xerox scanner in the network.

For uninstallation, you need to check with the Control Panel, Scanners and Cameras, uninstall the WIA driver.
make sure you have administrative rights to the system.
Go to the registry key, remove, if it still exists.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run XrxFTPLt.exe
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce xrxflnch.exe
HKCU\Software\Xerox\NetworkWIA
