Can someone please tell me what the dickens are the requirements for the avatar?

I've tried uploading one at 60 x 60 pixels. Doesn't seem to be working.

Well it's 60x60 and 3kb and it's still not working. Do I need to have a certain number of posts?

Ah, yes. It's working now. I did just have to check the 'Use Custom Avatar' after I selected the path.
