Qick launch bar never loads

Hi,
I am using XP Home fully updated on a P4 2.4 Machine.
Qick launch bar never loads with windows,everytime I had to activate it from

taskbar. Any remedy??

You've probably tried this already but first of all...

Control Panel>> Taskbar and Start Menu>> check the "Show Quick Launch" box

are there icons shown? did you try unchecking "lock the taskbar and moving the quick-launch bar?
