Quietest Affordable PSU

on this Thermaltake, i noticed it comes with 2 fan speed controllers (one PCI and one drive bay). Are these to control the fans on that PSU, or is it for other case fans of your choice?

do you think that thermaltake would be quiet enough? most of these PSUs don't have noise levels noted on them like cooling fans do, so theres no way to tell!!

That's why you have to go digging.

I checked ThermalTake's site to find the specs on the W0014:

Noise : 17 dBA at 1300 rpm, 45 dB at 4800 rpm

From what I saw, yeah.

Some of the other PSU's on ThermalTake's site were pretty good, too.

If you get that for $35 that will be a good deal. It's a pretty good power supply I'm sure. I'm getting the 680W silent purepower version of that.
