Dont think that's accurate. Energy is only energy when mass is multiplied by the speed of light squared, otherwise energy does not = mass 'therefore' your computer will still be there

Mass is always mass until you multiply it by the speed of light squared in which then the theory says it will become energy....frozen mass...will remain mass...not an absence of energy

And of course the laws of conservation of mass and conservation of energy back up those ideas. Nothing just "disappears" it is only transferred somewhere else. Well said nubius.

Well mass can become energy. Anyway I was only suggesting a theory, it's never been done so nobody actually knows what happens.
