2 computers 1 screen

I have a KVM switch and it's very good indeed, it is powered off the keyboard wire so I don't need to bother with any extra power lead. And to switch computers I can just use keyboard shortcuts so the KVM can go under the desk.

As for resolution, there's absolutely no impact. Everything looks fine, and mine was the cheapest one I could find so it's not something to worry about. I can still use the KVM with every resolution setting.

If the *digital* kvm doesnt support the resolution you're running at it simply won't show the screen. When a kvm draws power from the ps2 ports it tends to make your mouse flakey, especially during gameplay. Mine does this, my mouse will all of a sudden just die in the middle of Counterstrike. You want a kvm with a powersupply.

You can use your usb mouse with a kvm, get a usb to ps2 adapter.
