I hope someone can help me here.
This is my first attempt to setup a client/server network. I have the computers joined to the same domain, and I can see the computers on the network.
All the client machines are XP Pro w/SP2, and the server is running Win '03.
What I would like to do is this.
The users of the client machines already have existing User Profiles. I would like for them to be able to log onto the server using those same profiles so that the transition from peer-to-peer to Server/Client is seemless to the User. As it is now they have two profiles, one that allows them to sign into the Server and one that is for the local machine. I have found a procedure that allows for roaming profiles, but I can't for the life of me get it to work. When I try to copy the profile over to the server the 'Copy To' button is grayed out.
Can someone give me a detailed instruction set on how to complete this task?
