HI i need help!
Im getting a £600 PC for gaming, 3gig.
It comes as default with a
Radeon 9550XT 128MB DDR TV

However there is a choice of upgrades as follows....

Radeon 9600 Advantage PRO 128MB DDR TV Out DVI + £10.00

Radeon 9250 128MB DDR DVI TV - £10.00

Radeon 9600XT 256MB with DVI & TV-out + £35.00

128MB nVidia GeForce FX5200 with DVI & TV-out - £15.00

256MB nVidia GeForce FX5200 with DVI & TV-out + £5.00

256MB nVidia GeForce FX5500 with DVI & TV-out + £15.00

256MB nVidia GeForce FX5700LE with DVI & TV-out + £25.00

Now I assume that the most expensive upgrade (£35 extra) would be the best card, but ive heard that radeon 9600s are an old card that isnt so good nowadays... which one should i get or would it somehow be better not to upgrade? please help!

in the review of the default PC it said it was alright for gaming though obviosly not the best, and that was with the standard card... so if i have to choose one of the above, which one plz?

Don't get any of the FX Series, if you are using your computer for gaming go for a better spec graphics card.

I would grab the 9600XT. You're right, it is an older card, but so are all of the others that you listed. You won't be dissapointed with that card

Yeah that one, don't really know anything about ATI's card's but don't go for the FX series. :)

Either a ATI Radeon X800/9800 Series or the Geforce 6 Series.

9800 series are really not good these days.

For a budget gamer, picking up a 6600GT or 6800GT is a wise choice.
