File copy speed

How fast should a file be copied? I have average speed at about 2MB/s.

Is this the speed you are talking about transfering files from a folder to a different folder, or copying them from the internet? what is it?

Actually, this speed was when I copied files from one parition to another. Then the speed is 4 MB/s, I suppose.

reinis if i were you i would get rid of the sp2....i've known two comps that have bit it hard when using sp2 and it's probaly only a matter of time before yours does the same. if i were you i would change back to sp1.

sorry i didn't help with the data transfer but i saw sp2 and had to say something about it.

According to their website, you should be getting the following:

Well, SP2 works on most comps, as long as you install it on a clean XP installation. It totally destroyed my neighbours PC though. I wasn't able to fix it. Only a format helped.
