That's a great explanation, thanks.

I guess the real question then is, is it worth the investment, or is what I have good enough? But then again (I think) that'll put me a bit over my budget and I can't do that.

Or I can do something later? I don't know.

Besides that, am I forgetting anything? Cooling suggestions still welcomed (well, if it's needed).

CORRECTIONS: Sorry, I have until 8:30, I didn't see the PST.

And I figured in two HD's by mistake, so the real total as of right now is (using the WD): $810

Now, is there anything else I should buy? Such as a heatsink, a fan for the GPU, etc.?

Well, I got everything I listed (except I switched with the case that you suggested, I had been looking for that one, thanks).

Total came out to $861.43. I bought some of that thermalpaste that was recommended. And if need be I might get other stuff (heatsink, fan, etc.), but as for right now I'll let you guys know how it works out when I assemble it.

Thanks for all your help.

Hey guys, I got my stuff today, and bad news...er, the GFX card happened to be AGP and that isn't supported...So, is there anything I can do? Or am I stuck with this?

Make sure you do not open the gfx card and call newegg ASAP

Hopefully you can swap it with a PCI-E 6600GT and not pay a restocking fee

Sucks for me, I didn't realize it until I actually took it out and saw it...heh.

Anthing I can do? The only thing I really did to it was take the plastic seal off the box it came in, nothing else has been open, nor the card used...(don't think it matters, but, might as well take a stab at it).

ouch dude.... i feel really bad for u, as chris said try ringin newegg.. they might be nice about it....
