Well I bought an ATI AIW X800 XT 256MB AGP vid card. Now I need professional help on what parts to get. From the tower to the power supply, to the mobo, to the processor, to the memory, to the hard drive, and possibly any other peripherals you can think of. I will need part numbers and specifics as I am new to this. Any links to product would be helpful. Here's your chance to build the coolest system. I need only advice from professionals. The winning techie will receive $10.00 through paypal. Good luck to all.

I dont think we really give out money on the forums, it's discouraged.
Well, I will do it for free, but If I give good enough help, support the forums with 10$

First, what kind of budget do you have?

I would like to stay around $800. I would like a nice pairing of processor and mobo. I believe it is important to have a good processor and mobo for this card. This card has a 4x/8x agp slot requirement. I would like to take advantage of a mobo that utilizes an 8x agp slot. I might be off the mark explaining things as I am new. But, I am grateful for any help that I can receive. That is why I am here. Thanks DJ!

AMD 64 3200 939 Winchester

Antec true 430 powersupply

You should've gotten a geforce card.. Had you of picked up a 6600gt instead of an x800xt you couldve gotten sli motherboard with 1 video card. Would've left you with a ton of room to upgrade.

Okay their are a few motherboards for AGP you should look at. Even though the Asus can be a bit buggy, it is still one of the top peformers, and still my best bet right now for SKT 939 AMD. IMO you should have gone with a PCI-E system, but getting that AGP card, you cannot.

Asus A8V VIA K8T800 PRO 135$

A few people swear by these for SKT 939 AGP, personally I prefer the Asus to it. Their are some other Neo 2's, but their refurb and barebones, and may not come with some stuff you need.

AMD 3200+ WHINCHESTER SKT 939
This works with the above motherboards and this CPU is known for being able to overclock very high. Usually can get to FX-55 speeds. If you want you can get a 3500+ for higher speeds

Thermaltake Venus 12 35$ (OUT OF STOCK)
Really great, have this and can get my 3400+ NEWCASTLE at 2.6ghz on this. However, it isnt prime stable at those speeds.

Thermaltake TD-420AD 36$ (SALE)
Great cheap power supply. Easily handles my 6600GT and a highly OC'ed CPU. Gives out the power it says.

More later, take a look at G Skill ram, and I really dont know what to get for the case. Also, hard drives are up to you. Western Digital raptors are fast and small. If you need data reliability, you can use Raid 1 with 2 hard drives.

The asus a8v is a joke.. Every a8v i've ever gotten into the tech shop has been flakey, and had to have been rma'd for one reason or another... (5 a8vs out for rma atm)

The neo2 is a good board, just make sure to flash the bios if you get it.. I've only had to rma 1x neo2 so far..

You defiantly hit bad luck, I believe you said all 5 of your A8V's were on RMA. If a company had to give everyone 2 boards for the price of one, it would go out of buisness VERY soon.

My A8V bios was flakey until it was flashed though, both boards defiantly need a flash.
