hey im new to the site and a blossoming computer nut so help me out. I have a gigabyte ga-7vm400m-p motherboard and the bios only has basic controls (basically only system bus)no multiplier on cpu or voltage control. Can i get a bios that will allow multipliers and voltage control?

if the bios do not have those options then i think they are made that way for a reason. i am thinking you have a dell?

Usually there are some commands that are hidden. On my gigabyte board I can access the hidden options for the multipliers and things like that by hitting ctrl + F1. If that doesn't work try consulting your manual, if you don't have one gigabyte has the manuals for their mobo's on their website in pdf form.

ok i found gigabyte site and tried to install new bios but as i installed it went to a bios type window and said my chipset is not supported?wtf
also will a new bios unlock what i want anyways, or am i wasting my time looking for this stuff
