bios question

hey im new to the site and a blossoming computer nut so help me out. I have a gigabyte ga-7vm400m-p motherboard and the bios only has basic controls (basically only system bus)no multiplier on cpu or voltage control.Can i get a bios that will allow multipliers and voltage control?

if the bios do not have those options then i think they are made that way for a reason. i am thinking you have a dell?

no its a custom made onemade for me

so do bios updates not help to access more controls

Usually there are some commands that are hidden. On my gigabyte board I can access the hidden options for the multipliers and things like that by hitting ctrl + F1. If that doesn't work try consulting your manual, if you don't have one gigabyte has the manuals for their mobo's on their website in pdf form.

I tried going through Gigabyte's site, but the download page was all garbled. This has the same notes and release date, though, so it should be the same one.

Dunno if it will change anything, but it might.

ok i found gigabyte site and tried to install new bios but as i installed it went to a bios type window and said my chipset is not supported?wtf
also will a new bios unlock what i want anyways, or am i wasting my time looking for this stuff
