i assume that i am correct in thinking that this memory and this motherboard will be compatible.

however, in light of recent events, im suspicious with computer builds, and i just want to make sure

the current memory and motherboard should be compatible, right??

Make sure you have all of the cables you need before-hand as Giga-byte doesn't send all that many with the board.

Other than the cables issue I like mine just fine.

I was rather aggravated that ChainTech sent 66.34 drivers with their card. Never have been able to figure out why Painkiller would run on those. Nothing else would.

The mobo is nice, it was very easy for me to set up and use. Haven't started overclocking on it yet so I can't comment on that. Don't worry about the cables unless you are planning multiple hard drives or something. The board just comes with one of each, ie one sata connector, and one sata power adapter. One IDE cable, etc.

The only cable I had to buy additionally was one sata connector because I'm running two sata HD's on RAID 0. But having to spend $3 on one sata connector was worth not paying $50 more for a DFI or something.
