Hmmm I think that Lostman was getting warm with the Ram stick issue,,
if you get stuttering sound that could be an AntiVirus issue too,, with McAssfee, if you have it scan the MBR on startup ,, it interferes with the loading process causing a jittering of sound , and freezing of boot load,,
try removing your antivirus,, (but dont go online),, and reboot,,
see if that helps,,
I agree that the cpu temp is not enough to lock it up,, you have either a Process hog running, or a Hardware/driver conflict at boot..
