when are dual cores coming?

April 2005 is the rumor.

Opteron dual core processors are expected June 2005 I believe. The Athlon 64 versoin, codenamed Toledo, is expected after those, sometime in the second half of this year.

Well, there isn't an exact release date set for the Toledo yet so it's hard to, I am personally hoping for July or August as that is when I would like to build.

Anyways, from what I have seen and heard, the new Toledo will basically outperform every AMD Athlon 64 on the market right now except for the 4000+, FX-53, FX-55, and any other processor that happens to be released between now and the release of Toledo.

Basically, you have to ask yourself if you want to wait for something that will perform better than a 3800+ or lesser processor.

My guess is anywhere between the current price of the 3500+ and 3800+, but I honestly don't know.
