Overclocking is making your PC run faster than it does. Nothing else is needed, except possibly more cooling.

TheComputerPro, you should really know this, you pro

OK

So i read the link phosho gave me and i understand the overclocker is a multiplier of your computer....im not sure what that means..........but is it free and how do i get one???

Overclocking is done in the BIOS. You can either raise your FSB to achieve a higher CPU clock speed (CPU clock = fsb x multiplier) or you can change your multiplier if your proccesser allows. (Usually done via jumpers on the mainboard.)

Be sure to have adequate CPU cooling before you try. If your CPU is already idling at 40*c or more, wait!

So i get it i have to buy a bios then make the cpu cooling and then i have to use a bio to multiply..........what bios should i get....which one is good?
