has anyone used this mobo and could you tell me if its an ok mobo. i dont need amazing prformance. maybe list the bad features but in lamens terms please

Doesn't have PCIe unless you just need a normal PCI slot for PCIe (useful, eh?).

I'm using the P4P800-E Deluxe, and I love it. Ton's of features and I've had an easy time Overclocking it.

It depends, they are both really good. The ECS board has the built in heatsink and fan already on the northbridge chipset. And the Asus has got a really good size heatsink already on it. It really comes down to how much you want to spend. But ASUS is more of a well known brand.
