adaware vs spybot search n destroy?

Sure does...LOL For me....Ad-aware takes about 13min....Spybot S&D about 3min.

Something about S&D searches the places that the spyware must spread from and if it finds traces it finds all the stuff that has spawed from that original point

And as g5orbust said they are small programs, they are possible negative size becasue you can remove so much junk that would be many times more bigger than the original program.

If you use the net, you need these two programs!

my 2 cents..

ditto on Adaware AND Spybot. I also use a regclean util (i think there is one avail from download.microsoft, and whatever trojan scanner I happen to find at the time.

For the "fun' of it, I'll also rebuild my entire system and reinstall the os with the new things I learn, like defragging immediatelly and manually setting the pagefile at that time etc.
