SLI? or no?

DJ, why would you say the 4000 is a waste of money... You should know better.. First the 3500 can never have 1MB L2 cache. That much cache with dual channel memory owns. Sure the 3500 can OC past 2.4ghz... But thats OC. You can OC the 4000 also, and alot better. With a 400mhz increase on the 3500, will not make it faster then the FX-55. But a 400mhz OC on the 4000 will.

I just think if you have enough money for a 4000+ you should get an fx-55 or downgrade to a 3500+ and overclock.

However the newer 90nm 4000+'s IMO wont be a waste of money

i have the money for a FX-53 but not enough for a FX-55 cause its like 300$ more man. and ill take performance and oc it to great instead of take mid-range and oc it to performance.

FX-55 = $955, $855 if you go OEM.

AMD64 4000+ = $545

So yeah that 'if you have money for a 4000+ you should get an FX-55' doesn't really fly. We're talking a freakin $400 difference dude.

exactly wha ti said cause its rediculous to get it. I cant afford it right now and my mom was complaining that she got me the FX-53 when i really had a 3500+ before (yea she found out lol). i cant push it that far. its bad enough i pushed a SLI board too.
