Compatibility? Help needed.

I was wondering if an ATI 9600XT 256mb card will work in my K7S5A motherboard with a 300W powersupply. I reckon it should, but I want to be positive before I open the box.

Since your motherboard has an open 4X AGP slot, and it's an AGP 8X card, it will work but not at it's full potential. The power supply doesn't have a lot to do with it working or not unless you run a heavy load on power..

Your card should definitely work.

They make a 256mb version of the 9600XT? DAMMMMMMMMMM, wish I had researched that before I bought the 128MB version...

That's odd, I thought the early xt's where only 128mb. Interesting.

Yeah, but this is a more modern Xt, came out with the 9800XT.
