oooooh great, more questions, more problems too

Problem 1:
while attempting to repair winxp pro sp2 with my dfi board before RMAing it, the setup said "blah blah blah has detected that C; is corrupted [i JUST got my 200gig seagate barracuda 7200.7]" does this mean that my C drive is corrupted (oooh great ) or it might be the board's problem?

Problem 2:
i installed xp pro SP2 on my comp with a new hdd (fried the old one) and it wouldn't work!

it tried to load a boot disk using the "fdisk/mbr" but the disk wouldn't work
i also tried installing with my copy of xp home SP1 and it still wouldn't work!
i also tried the system recovery with with pressing the "r" and then using bootfix but that wouldn't work either!

help! (btw, i can't return it, my comp is wayyy out of warranty)

i think its a harddrive problem. check to see if you connected it properly.

nm, i cleaned the drive and it's good now, i just have the RMA the board

also, does anyone know why my old comp is saying "error loading operating system"
