I recently replaced my GeForce 3 with an MSI Geforce4 Ti4600.
Now, programs that require acceleration always lock up after a minute or so of playing. Here are my system specs:
AMD Thunderbird 1.4Ghz 266 fsb
ASUS A7M266 w/ BIOS rev. 1007
2 sticks of 256MB Crucial PC2100 DDR SDRAM
MSI GeForce4 Ti4600
Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM
Verbatim 32x/12x/40x CD-RW
IBM 40GB HD
Western Digital 40GB HD
SB Live PCI
Zoom Fax Modem
Intel Etherfast 10/100
400 watt power supply
Win 98 SE with AMD AGP miniport
I have tried two different nVIDIA drivers:
27.50 (included with card)
30.82 (lastest as of this post)
I'm ready to put the old card back in and get a refund for this new one, but that's frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have plenty of cooling in there (CPU rarely crests 55 C)
I never had stability problems with my old card.
