Floppies use basically no power at all. Even if you might use it once a year that one time might prove useful. Don't see how it could look ugly if you match colors
 
I agree with Nubius. A floppy drive is only like $8.00 doesn't use hardly any power and floppys always come in handy when something goes wrong. Plus it won't look bad, it's going to match the case.

I've never installed MCE2005 on a PC before, i was assuming that I would need the floppy to install the MOBO's SATA/RAID drivers. You need them for XP home/pro so i didn't think there would be a difference from MCE2005. If some knows for sure, please let me know.

The silent issue, is very much a concern to me. I'm going to try to do what I can to make it... Shhhhhhhhhhh
 
I just installed with MCE 2005 and didn't need to install any extra drivers at all. Just put in the install disk and away I went.
