Sold 128mb 9800pro and Bought 6600gt

i dont think u can, just go to the setup for ur card in windows and turn up the settings, and uncheck the application controlled thing ?

The Radeon 9800 Pro is better than the 6600 GT.

agreed, it overclocks just as well if not better too. specially the eVga ones. the 9800PRO is getting old fast, soon games will start killing it, and a while from now it'll start being un-supported.

Go to many benchmarking sites and there are a few where the 9800pro but it starts to die when AA and AF is upped although generally I know ATI does better with AA than nvidia. Overall the 6600GT beats out the 9800Pro though.

4W4K3, I OC'd mine to 570/999 but I started noticing textures blinking a little within far cry. Haven't tried other games, but as of right now I don't think the core wants to really go above 550 or so, and the memory probably around 960, around there I think on higher 1280x1024 settings with 2x AA, and AF that it was still blinking. I gotta wait until I can get a good water cooling setup, get the MAZE4 GPU block, and some tweakmonster RAMsinks and no doubt it'll probably OC better.

are you on stock air cooling or an aftermakret cooler? i'm sure with a maze4 on water it'll do good...those are pretty awesome blocks from what i've read.

About 53-55C idle and 80-83C full load according to Rivatuner for the core.

555/999 @ DDR470 - 8247 - 3dmark03

Yeah thus far I really like this card. Not like I have another to compare it to besides the FX 5700 so I'm not gonna be like YEAH THIS WHOOPS ATI'S BLAH BLAH cause...yeah like I said I don't have anything to compare it to, but thus far for my needs it's awesome.
