Hi, i'm just about to upgrade my graphics card, however to do this I need to upgrade my motherboard and RAM as my current system is a Dell and their RAM has special timings which make it incompatible with other motherboards. My question, so that I can avoid such a situation again in the future, is which type of RAM currently available just now do you think will be supported by currently unreleased motherboards which support intel x64 or dual core chips? Basically, if you were going to buy RAM now, with the intention of upgrading your processor and motherboard in the not too distant future, what would you go for? cheers

Well the best out there is DDR2 400(pc3200) seems to be compattable with all the newer MOBOs out there GL and happy hunting

DDR2 is not supported by AMD yet, so you'd have to go with Intel for now.

DDR2 is also expensive.

DDR4? pff nice typo it's not even out yet

DDR2 is a waste of money, it gets beaten out by normal DDR in AMD systems.
