I'm trying to upgrade my slow Toshiba 470CDT Intel Pentium 200MHZ Processor 64 MB Ram 2Gig HDD into a faster machine and be able to run windows XP.

What compatible parts do i need to upgrade?

You are going to be really restricted on how much you can upgrade your laptop. You should be able to increase the amount of RAM ( I think 128MB on one module is about the max ) but the CPU will probably be soldered to the board, even if it is removable, there will be an upper limit on the speed of CPU the laptop will recognise.
You could put a larger hard drive in but this won't necessarily make it any faster.

The link below is to a site that sells compatible parts for your laptop :

I reckon you would be better off either buying a faster laptop or running win98 on the current one instead.

Into a faster machinne? taking them out?

You need new CPU, new RAM, new HD, new heatsink, new video most likely and a new power supply likely too.
