plz help! urgent!

my old computer was using a maxtor diamondplus 9 and my new comp was using a 80 gig WD caviar se (both ide, ata, and set as master)

then i took the maxtor from my old comp and set as as primary slave to my WD (primary master) and it booted up fine

then i put the the maxtor from my new comp back into the old and it wouldn't read

then i turned on my new comp and my WD COULDN"T read either!

then i set the WD as p[rimary master and the maxtor as primary slave again and it still won't read!

the drives won't spin and even after i pulled off the data cable and then powered it on my drives still won't spin!

help!

you have to make sure the IDE (ribbon) and molex (power) cable are both in correctly

it's in correctly

they both worked until i set the WD to master and the MX to slave and then removed them

go into the BIOS of each, and see if it will detect them there
