I have an old pc and right before I stopped using it memory had been put in it. Can I take out the sticks and put it in my dell? just for added memory
thanks in advacne

Hey,

I would say make sure the motherboard supports your type of memory. So if your motherboard on your dell only supports pc133, and you try putting in ddr memory, then it isnt gonna work.

Problem solved.

I can almost guareentee now it will not work. The P4's with HT only use DDR memory. Depending on how old your old computer is it might not use DDR at all.

If it's an older PC it's likely older ram, which would be slow or not work at all most likely. Or it's RD-RAM

Make sure it's compatable, and if it doesn't fit, don't force it....other wise you could be getting yourself a new mobo
