Dumb Question

I recently fried my mobo. While waiting for the rest of my parts to come in, I combo'd my confuser into my wife's. No big deal, but she has programs she uses while I am at work and I have ones while I'm home, etc, etc...

Is there a way to create profiles using separate hard drives even though they are on the same cable. (Master/slave) I tried all the pin settings on the HHD's. no good. tries in XP. no good. Only thing I can do now is change the jumper settings on the HHD itself, but that becomes a pain to do it daily... Any suggestions?

My profile I use is on my HHD and the one she uses is on her HHD... I want to have separate accounts but using different hard drives... I think that clarifies it...
