unable to change Desktop themes XP pro

New laptop,Sager,
I changed the resolution on the destop/properties to get larger letters.While in properties,I fooled around with themes..Now if I mess with themes(it seems to be stuck on Windows classic)
The screen will go mono,computer locks up.Ctrl-Alt-Del won't work
Have to power off and restart.
On restart,get the white "restore desktop screen".After that
will work Ok.Unless I try to get back to Windows XP or any other
theme..Guess I shouldn't of messed with it.Thanks for any thoughts.

do you have service pack 2? if so then i would suggest trying out some other cool themes from wincustomize.com under windowblinds. if you do noto have sp2 you should get it.

Python,thanks for the site.
I used the shareware and it ran the windowblinds theme's OK.
Think I will get the full package later..Yes I do have SP2

Warez Monster: Thanks,that put it back like it was..Cool.
Now I am about half afraid to mess with any of the "properties" on the screen.
I don't have any idea what I did to cause all the mess.
