Hi everyone, i have a mobo that i can't seem to access the bios and i wanted to try and overclock it. The cpu is an old pentium 166 and i was just wondering if there was any way to increase the FSB in windows??

I don't see how changing the fsb without the cpu reseting could be good. It's probobly really vulnerable to frying it. Wait... You have a Dell. You can't change the fsb with those they're locked. You can get into their bios with the del key I think but the most you can change is the time and date.

with original pentiums, you need to overclock by physically changing jumpers on the motherboard to set the FSB and Multiplier.

Ah, the good old original Pentiums.

Wayne is correct, the Pentium and other older processors can only be overclocked by switching jumpers on the motherboard, the BIOS can not change the multiplier or front side bus.
