Hey guys, I have a nice PC and was wondering how far is it possible to overclock it? I've tried, but I'm not sure I doing it right, I'm new to o/c'ing

My PC:
3500+ 939
Thermaltake Damier V case.
Thermaltake Silent Tower Cooling with heatpipes
Extreme giant cooler
Cooler master PSU
2Gigs in Corsair Ram XMS
Western digital Raptor 74Gb
Maxtor Diamondmax10 300Gb
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
and about 5 other fans that came with the case.
and an MSI mobo
An Asus X800proVIVO modded to XT PE

Anyway, that's the relevant stuff, also got a DVD DL burner 16X and a card reader.

Theoretical* ;)

Winchester or Newcastle core?

I read a review of both hitting 2.7GHz on air, although the newcastle barely got there and the winchester got closer to 8.

I'd say 2.5GHz should be obtainable for you

Newcastle... but how would I go about doing it? Sorry, but I'm new to this... Do I up the voltage? or do I crank up the FSB?

I'd say you'll hit a wall at 2.5 unless you REALLY know what your doing. After a while your computer will just keep re-starting...

Overclock it until it burns....buy a new one...then don't go so far :p

That's a motto at another forum that mainly has OC'ing info lol
