Powermax Utility Question?

I'm trying to fully low-level format my hard drive using the Powermax utility by Maxtor and everything booted up the way it was supposed to and I got to the low-level format option and said okay to the "are you sure questions" and it started. However, on the display no "moving numbers" or anything are being displayed. It just says "writing the drive..." and "In test". Normally, I would think nothing of this, but it has been going since 4:00 PM yesterday. My hard drive is a 60 GB Western Digital in case that might be the problem. Is it just taking a really long time, or is it possibly frozen? Thanks for anyone's help!

stop it and try again

it should show numbers moving when it is wiping the hard drive

it should take a hour or two for a 60gig hard drive
