overclocking 3000+ ?

Ive read alot of people getting 2.6 GHz out of a amd athlon 64 3000+, is this with air cooling ? I have this chip , i aslo have a thermaltake Aquarius II liquid cooling system ,and im waiting for my motherboard abit KV8 3rd -EYE to come in. Im planning on overclocking so i was just wondering what max i should expect to get with this setup.

You could easily get 2.6 with liquid. My other pc has a socket A 3000+ and it's steadily oc'ed at 2.5 on air cooled.

The CPU's have text printed on it like AMD30000438 that means it's an AMD 3000+ year 04, week 38. Sometimes a certain week and before will perform better but I don't know what particular week phosho has in mind.

You cant exactly compare a socket A 3000+ to a socket 939 3000+
