Intergrated Soundcard

I have a intergrated soundcard on a Asus K8N motherboard. I have 6 sockets for the speakers and it is suppose to be 7.1 soundcard or something. I just noticed after iBought my new 2 speakers that the only socket works is the Front socket. ANyone know the prob? I have 2 speakers that is made from Compaq, 2 older speakers that has no buttons, and 2 new speakers for the cd player. ALl the speakers work, but none work on the other 5 sockets.

Can someone exlpain why this is happening and how to fix this prob?

yea mines is like that too only one side works, try updating it.

Is it the Realtek AC'97 ALC650 or?

Regardless, if you havent allready done so I
would go into the audio configuration program
for your integrated sound and make sure ALL
the settings are correct for your 7.1 setup.

Dont forget to change the functions from

"MIC In" to "ctr spkr out" or "Sub woofer"

and

"Line In" to "Rear Spkr Out" and so on.

Dont forget to run the "Speaker Test" to
confirm your setup.
