Okay, Windows XP home, (sp1, no sp2) will get the the startup screen where it says "windows is starting up" and then after around 4-6 minutes it will finally get to my login menu, and no my HD LED doesnt even blink during those 4-6 minutes.

Then after i get to the login, i can log in but nothing loads..the only think that is visible is my desktop wallpaper and my mouse. but, if i ctrl-alt-del i can start the task manager and it only says that the core proccesses are running, though i still cant see windows explorer..

anyone got any suggestions..?

oh btw, it will only start if i push f8 and boot in safemode. but even then, everything is all weird and buggy. thx.
