turning my comp on for the first time

it did come with drivers. it does prompt to hit f6 but does nothing when i hit f6

the sata controller is enabled. i have tried another keyboard so its not the f6 key

any other suggestions?

i double checked all the wire connections and they are tight. the hd has 3 wires to it(2 of em coming from the psu), why would it have a 4pin and a custom connector for the hd

STOP!!!
Before you go any further, unplug one of the power connectors coming from the psu. You are only supposed to use ONE OR THE OTHER. Hopefully your drive is not fried yet.
