how can i overclock my computer and what does it do.

ok i dont know what is mobo and i let on for like a min and it didnt do nothing so i shut down the power and i rebooted the computer and it stay black screen so im screw right or is there a way to fix this.

Yeah I overclocked to 30 percent and it was too high and my screen went black, I was thinking "shit mobo is fried". I waited 2 minutes to turn it back on and the OC settings went back.

carefull!!! I know all you overclockers can +rep me on this one - overclocking is a very dangerous process, though it can produce wonderfull after-effects, you must take many pre-precautions:

Make sure that your cpu can handle higher voltages.
Get a good cooling system, a liquid cooled would be good.
RESEARCH - the best way to learn how to overclock your pc is by reading about other peoples mistakes! lol sad but true.

if you push your FSB up, don't decrease RAM timings
in fact sometimes it's a good idea to increase RAM timings if you want to overclock your FSB
