You know, like smart people w/ rad computering skills, i'd suggest using a small, backup internal hard drive. You have to reinstall the system files, anyway, why not just use an old hard drive. Maybe I can join the ranks of 64 AMDers when i get my new comp.

windows 64 won't reconize my motherboard cd rom though....i had to put in a nic card cause i can't get the onboard to install....

I have it downloaded and ready to go, I will try it out after I've gotten everything tweaked with my new system, and report any differences between 32 bit and 64 bit processing that I notice. I hope it'll run HL2 fine.

edit - argh, it seems that no 64 bit operating systems will run steam
