---------------------------------------------------------

is that a good setup?

how would that compare to an Apple?

Can someone tell me how easy it is to make a computer and what the main steps are?

-----------------------------------------------------------

thx :D

what are you using this for? I assume your audio editing since you compare it to an apple, it would be realy realy good against an apple but an apple G5 would be better for audio and video editing but that is a nice setup, and making a ocmputer is a piece of cake, kind of. but i dont have time to write steps right now but i will later,

i am mainly using it for school, and graphic design.

i am between the two mentioned above, and also the iMac G5

i am probably going to purchase Macromedia Studio MX for the one i get just FYI.

that looks good, only thing id do is buy a new psu cuz that one that comes with the case is junk
id just the cd burner from a sony to something else

and its hard to compare that to an apple because the cpu architecture is diff and the OS is completely different and apples are meant to do other things than gaming

building a computer is easy

theres some good guides online that would go more in depth that we could here about building one just google

wait i didnt mention the PowerBook above did i.

ok i am between

PowerBook G4

iMac G5

That thing

do you think that the PowerBook would run StudiMX WELL or do you think that the iMac G5 is worth the loss in portability?

portability is not a necessity of mine but i think that it would be nice.

if i get the iMac G5 i am going to get 1GB of RAM and the 80GB Hard Drive.

If i get the powerbook i will get the 512 RAM (enless i can come up with money for 768 or whatever it is)

The G5 processor would be nice but it is either that or no portability.

i just want to see some input.

and no, i do not NEED the portability but it would be very nice. it basically depends on if the PowerBook can run StudioMX well or not.
