Gig Nics

Anyone ever hear about NICs from comtechnetworking? I just saw an ad for one at $25.00 and the specs look great (http://jay.comtechnetworking.com) I'd be interested to hear about your experience.

don't expect high quality from something that cheap. but than again it is very cheap... you can buy 2 of them and if they don't work you lose only $50 plus shipping.

at the worst case senario they could be unreliable you could end up destroying data and have lots of signal corruption.

give us a product review if you decide to buy them.

I got a response from another posting I did on this, and they were very positive about comtechnetworking. Further reading, comtechnetworking is a distributor for eGig products. It would appear that they use the broadcom chip, so this is a big plus.
I will be picking up a few for evaluation.
