Isn't a straight 12-hour working period for a PC dangerous?

Which is what, $5 a month. But as some of you said u leave more than one computer on then that eats into your electricity bill.

I posted that in an earlier thread about this [/B]

Would there be a difference in an old cerleon with a 300wpsu and a pc running off of a 550w psu?

If it was the same pc, just with a different psu, then it would be the same, as a pc only takes what it needs from the psu.

also a kilowatt hour is one unit.

Mines been on pratically all week, just with a few restarts (installing things, changing settings etc). They are fine, but use a lot of electricity :p (costs a lot). I need to get a more power efficient monitor really :p

If you leave it on all day, it will heat your room. My room mate and I leave our computers on all the time and we can turn the heat off, because they heat the room for us.
